John W. (Jack) Dougherty, PE | Chief Executive Officer
Jack Dougherty is chief executive officer of Huen Electric. His primary responsibilities include developing new business opportunities, directing all areas of operations and project management, strategic planning, and training and recruiting.
Mr. Dougherty joined Huen as a project manager in 1993, was promoted to vice president of operations in 1996, advanced to the position of chief operating officer in 2000, and was named CEO in 2008.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and an MBA in production and operations management from the University of North Texas. In addition, Mr. Dougherty is a registered Professional Engineer in Illinois.
Mr. Dougherty is active in several industry organizations, including the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (Industrial Application section), Illuminating Engineering Society of North America, National Fire Protection Association and the Chicago Building Congress.
