Description: Huen provided its electrical construction and value engineering expertise for a 120-bed, 175,000-square-foot addition to the existing Marianjoy Rehabilitation campus. Our work included installation of all electrical services, life safety systems and the built out of a full service kitchen and servery. We also provided power, low voltage lighting and lighting control to the hospital’s rehabilitation water garden where water lighting changed colors to musical selections. Huen also provided power and low voltage lighting to a circular labyrinth and meditation garden. In addition, we provided almost $500,000 of value engineering to bring the project back into budget.
Electrical Systems:
- A redundant 3,000A 480V power distribution system
- (2) 3,000 Amp Services
- A remote 800 Kw generator
- Installed lighting and power raceways in post tension concrete floor slabs. This effort required a significant amount of coordination with the iron workers using CAD technology. The result was a two month saving to the project schedule.
