Description: Installation of all electrical power and lighting systems including essential, critical and life safety and energy efficient lighting control for new construction of a 650,000-square-foot hospital facility with:
- Full emergency and trauma center
- 28 operating rooms/special procedure rooms for diagnostics and treatment, including eye laser surgery, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, cardiovascular, and catheterization and electrophysiology laboratories
- 15,000-square-foot cancer center with linear accelerator
Electrical Systems:
- 1200 amp, 12kV utility service entrance metal clad switchgear featuring an electronically operated “main-tie-main” transfer scheme
- A 600 amp, 12kV normal power distribution loop connecting (4) unit substations via “key interlocked” 12 kV switchgear
- Emergency power distribution featuring (3) 2 megawatt diesel fuel generators, 12 kV paralleling switchgear, (4) unit substations (emergency) and (13) automatic transfer switches
- Electrical distribution system seismic bracing compliance in accordance with 2003 international building code
- Automated microprocessor-based building lighting control system
- Isolated power systems for operating and procedure rooms.
