Turbine Engine installed at Caterpillar in Aurora

Chicago-area companies rely on Huen for their plant renovation and new construction needs. We have supplied complex manufacturing production lines, provided electrical service for vast distribution facilities, and installed critical data and telecommunications systems for one the world's busiest air traffic corridors.

PLASTECH CHICAGO is located on the southeast side of Chicago. This facility provides injection molding products to the Ford assembly plant just west of Plastech. Huen is providing power to 28 injection molding presses, ranging from 90 to 2,000 tons, including the control wiring for these machines.

THE CHICAGO TRIBUNE FREEDOM CENTER is a 120,000-square-foot addition to their printing plant. Huen provided complete installation of all power, lighting and electrical systems for a fully automated packaging and delivery system. Work included installation of emergency generators, life safety systems and the first installation of City of Chicago approved IP-54 rated sprinkler proof bus duct.

CATERPILLAR MANUFACTURING facility is an 18-megawatt co-generation plant located in Aurora. Two new turbine generators at this plant produce enough electricity to power the entire 3,000,000 square foot manufacturing facility. The generator exhaust in turn is diverted into a mechanical system and used to heat the campus.

For the new CHICAGO SUN-TIMES, printing plant, Huen installed power, distribution and lighting as well as instrumentation wiring for eight high-speed presses and a materials handling system in this 330,000-square-foot facility.

BOEING PRECISION GEAR'S Huen installed high-voltage switchgear, distribution feeders, power and lighting for this manufacturing facility renovation.

We've honed a special niche in electrical installation for large distribution centers, assisting in expanding facilities for Warner/Electra/Atlantic, Georgia Pacific, Constar and Menards.

For more than a decade, Huen has provided maintenance service to the Aurora Federal Aviation Administration facility. Recently, the FAA tapped Huen to provide power, lighting, life-safety and data cabling for a new TERMINAL RADAR APPROACH CONTROL CENTER, in Elgin.
