Residential customers rely on Huen for its diverse array of services, including utility pre-cabling and power distribution systems; street, site, entryway and accent lighting; and exterior and interior swimming pool lighting.

185 NORTH WABASH Formerly known as The Medical and Dental Arts Building, 185 N. Wabash is a 23-story office building built by Daniel Burnham, Jr. in 1926. This historic structure was preserved as it was converted from an ordinary office building into 190 first-class residential units and 6,236 SF of commercial space. Huen provided new distribution systems, new fire alarm and life safety systems, new lighting, new telephone and cable TV wiring, and connections to new mechanical equipment throughout the structure.

THE RESIDENCE OF SHERMAN PLAZA A new, 26-story, high-end condominium building in the heart of Evanston’s downtown, and is the keystone to the redevelopment of that area. Huen Electric was chosen by Focus Development, and W.E. O’Neil Construction Company to provide design-build construction services for the project. This will be our second design-build project with Focus Development. We recently completed the Church Street condominium project just down the block from Sherman Plaza.

The project consists of a new 26-story concrete structure with 234 condominium units and 12 luxury units on the 23rd, 24th and 25th floors. Many of the units will have private balconies or terraces. The facility will include many amenities including a hospital room on the 3rd floor along with a roof garden complete with a bocce ball court and sun deck.
