Since Huen’s founding, we have served the electrical needs of the city’s arts and entertainment communities. From creation of state-of-the-art theaters housed in historic landmark buildings, to construction of new entertainment venues, Huen has played a leading role.

SOLDIER FIELD Huen was selected to take part in the fantastic challenge of renovating the historical stadium. Our part of the project included the lighting, power and special systems. When we finished, we had installed approximately 1 million feet of conduit, 2.8 million feet of wire, wiring of 134 suites/skyboxes, all internal lighting, power, data and fire alarm. The playing field is lit with over six hundred 1,500-watt luminaries. This entire facility was completed in only eighteen months!

MUSIC & DANCE THEATER CHICAGO is a premier entertainment development recently completed at the Lakefront Millennium site. This facility was challenging due to the location, construction, schedule, architecture and the complex systems such as the auditorium performance lighting and lobby dimming systems. Huen also provided audio/visual raceway, fire alarm, emergency power systems and exterior lighting for this live performance theater.

The LAKEFRONT MILLENNIUM PARK PARKING GARAGE is a 1,000,000 square foot parking facility on Chicago’s lakefront with space for over 2,000 vehicles. The design/build project included power, lighting, emergency generators, access control and a duress and intercom system.

NAVY PIER, Chicago’s premier Daniel Burnham-designed landmark, was transformed into a 50-acre exposition and recreational complex. Huen was responsible for all power, lighting and electrical systems. Huen’s role in the CHICAGO SHAKESPEARE THEATER AT NAVY PIER included designing and supplying all power and electrical systems for the main stage and studio theater, as well as lighting, sound cabling, dimming systems, life-safety systems and site lighting.

At JOHN G. SHEDD AQUARIUM, Huen completed electrical construction, including custom exhibit lighting and emergency systems for the new “Amazon Rising: Seasons of the River” exhibit, while maintaining power and life-support systems for the aquarium’s collection of 8,000 aquatic animals.

BOLINGBROOK GOLF CLUB CLUBHOUSE An impressive 76,000 square foot, three-floor clubhouse includes golf shop, men’s and women’s locker rooms, exercise facility, boardroom with high tech audiovisual capability, dining rooms, bridal suites , and grand ballroom for up to 960 guests. Huen installed custom lighting fixtures and state-of-the-art lighting control systems. The architectural site lighting furnished by Huen highlights and compliments the stunning architecture. This facility was recognized for it’s outstanding architecture by Midwest Construction Magazine and presented with an Award of Merit in 2003.
