In his role as Director of Estimating, Dan is responsible for coordinating with the executive team in reviewing opportunities, and then overseeing his department’s pricing, as well as managing the team’s labor and resources to meet schedules and work volume. His team provides design-build, design-assist, plan & spec, and budget pricing for all phases of a prospective project. Upon successful award of a project he prepares the project for turnover to the project management department.

With his professional background pricing, selling and managing predominantly design-build projects, his experience helps with early coordination and negotiation for tentative projects. Dan has worked in the Chicago and collar county construction market since 1991 as a Project Manager, Safety Officer, Estimator and Business Owner. His experience stretches from industrial manufacturing to commercial and institutional. In his career he has worked on many notable and complicated projects, and he does not mind a challenge.

Beginning his career at Huen in 2017, Dan was hired to head up the estimating department and to use his previous training to provide an expanded ability to provide customers with value and early schematic budgeting. Dan has a degree in communication and media studies from St. Norbert College, has taken courses in NEC and CEC code, and is also a licensed master electrician.
